On Friday, a protest march against binding chain lights was held in Kuvedunagar, Mysuru.
The protest was organized by the Voice of People, a voluntary organization in cooperation with the Institute of Education Jyoti to save and protect trees.
About 150 students of the Educational Institute held Aloft Banners with messages to protect trees and the environment, and as part of a demonstration on Friday, the March in Kuwempunagar eliminated.
President Voice of People Vasant Rao Chavan said in a statement that the LED stringed lights were tied to the trees by driving iron nails in some places in Mysur.
“The reason is for their business area to look attractive. But no one imagines how much damage to the trees,” he lamented.
When iron nails are entering trees, rust nails into rainwater and toxic elements leak into trees, destroying the Cambium layer, which helps trees grow, he added.
“This makes the trees dry and fall,” Chavan said, attracting to entrepreneurs against trees in such a way.
