Hundreds of protesters who protest on political associations on Wednesday organized a protest near the city stand in the Mayiladuthurai on Wednesday and demanded a fair investigation by suspending a representative of the police superintendent (wing of the enforcement prohibition) M. Sundaresan.
The protest was organized by the “Coalition for Justice” and led by R. Muralidhar, Tamizhar desiya Munnai. The protesters included representatives of different parties, including BJP, Naam Tamilar Katchi, Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi, PMK, Tamil Nadu Vivasayigal Katchi and Aiadmk.
Mr. Sundaresan, who worked as a representative of the Police Director (Pew) in the Mayiladuthurai district, was recently suspended after increasing his complaints instead of increasing his obligations through internal channels against his superiors. Its suspension caused strong reactions from various neighborhoods throughout the state. Demonstrators demanded a transparent investigation into the accusation against the officer and claimed that any measures should follow a proper process and should not be arbitrary.
