Second year B.Sc. The nursing student, identified as Pallavi (19), reportedly committed suicide late on Thursday evening. She studied at PES Nursing College, Kuppam. Pallavi, a native of Kuppam mandal, allegedly jumped from the third floor of the girls’ hostel. She sustained serious injuries and was taken to a local hospital where she died during treatment. The incident created mild tension in the campus, with parents and students expressing concerns about the safety of female students in the hostel. The Kuppam police have registered a case and are investigating. People in need can call 100 for help.
