A night party in Pune with more than 150 participants raided; ganja, illegal smoking paraphernalia seized

Police seized ganja, banned smoking products and overtime liquor after raiding an evening party in Pune on Sunday where more than 150 people were present, an official said.
According to specific information, the raid was conducted at a spot in Tulapur village under Lonikand police station limits on Sunday (June 7) at around 2.30 am, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Crime) Gauhar Hasan said.
A total of 156 people were found at the site, of which 107 were men and 49 were women. Three of them were under the age of 21, he said.
“The liquor license obtained at the event was only valid until 11.30pm on June 6. However, the party continued beyond the permitted time. During the raid, the police seized about three grams of ganja and recovered three cups containing 10 banned hookah flavours,” Mr Hasan said.
Liquor worth ₹ 9.22 lakh was also recovered from the spot. The total value of the seized materials is estimated to be around ₹85 crore, he said.
Police have identified Aiman Sheikh of Blaze Entertainment and Yash Chaudhary of Star Light Entertainment as the main organizers of the event, Mr. Hasan said.
Further legal action is underway, the official said.
A police team comprising 15 policemen and 65 constables conducted the raid, he added.
