Minister of Tourism, Culture and Cinematography Kandula Durgesh said on Sunday that the government is working on new film policies that will soon be announced.
When he talked to the media after the first clap for Western Love, which produced Varahi Arts and Shakti Creations in Sai Sai Kalyan Vedik in Vijayawada, he said that N. Chandrababa Naida and the Deputy Chief Minister K. Pawan Kalyan committed to providing full support in the state.
The Minister said the state offered ideal places for film filming, but it was necessary to develop the film industry and added that the existing studios were insufficiently used. He admitted that although large shoots take place all over the state, there was no necessary infrastructure.
“There is an urgent need to create the right infrastructure, including studios, recording theaters and recording facilities, as in Hyderabad,” the Minister said, adding that the prosperous film industry will create job opportunities for local youth.
Mr. Durgesh praised the Western Love team and pointed out that they were hiring only local techniques and employees, instead of outsourcing from outside. “It was confirmed by the film director Mr. Kakarl and producers Ravi Soujanya and Mr. Kakarl,” he said.
The Minister also appreciated the story of the film and the message he told youth. He expressed hope that the film would be a great success and appreciated the work of the main actors, Ravi Ram Charan and Mahil.
