
Since nearly three -quarters of university institutions in Kerala are still lacking accreditation, the cell to ensure the quality of the state level (SLQAC) is ready to launch a campaign to ensure that these institutions achieve NAAC accreditation in a new framework to be launched throughout the country.
Official statistics indicate that 334 university institutions have received NAAC accreditation in the state, including six universities, 27 governments, 159 supported, 98 self -financing and 44 engineering universities. Among them were two universities and 29 governments and two self -phinance universities accreditation ++. It is estimated that there will be about 2,000 institutions in the state, sources said.
SLQAC, operating under the Ministry of Higher Education, will help all university institutions in the state in achieving NAAC accreditation. A robust action plan will be created to ensure evaluation and accreditation across universities and universities.
“To achieve this goal, it was decided to strengthen existing cells to ensure quality (IQAC) within institutions and to perform extensive educational programs aimed at cultivating the quality of quality assessment,” said SLQAC Kerala Ma Lal.
Binary process
SLQAC is expected to introduce a special initiative to training all stakeholders, including institutions, teachers, IQAC coordinators, students, administrators and administration, in a new accreditation framework expected to be introduced soon.
The National Accreditation Agency is reportedly initiated by the binary process that institutions will be originally accredited within the basic accreditation methodology. Such institutions can then opt for accreditation based on adulthood based on various parameters.
Conclave All-India
The first meeting of the Executive SLQAC, which was recently held, also decided to organize the Conclaven of All-India with the participation of various SLQACs from the whole country. National meetings will present proven procedures from different states, which will strengthen understanding of high -quality India in higher education and introduce the Kerala model at the national level.
It was also decided to honor the institutions with high academic excellence, especially those that provided NAAC A ++, A+, grades and high positions in the Nirf India rankings.
At the meeting, Sharmila Mary Joseph, the main secretary, the Department of Higher Education and the Vice -Chairman of the SLQAC Kerala. Advisor Naac Devendra Kawde, member of the Jiju State Board of Board, the director of collegial education K. Sudheer, director of Jayaprakash P. technical education, and former Vice -President Sankarachary of the University of Sanskrit MV Narayanan were among those who participated.
