Dhone MLA Kotla Surya Prakash Reddy and Superintendent of Police Suneel Sheeran inaugurated a command room equipped with modern technology to ensure public safety, control crime, maintain law and order and effectively monitor illegal activities in Dhone town on Saturday.
A total of 118 CCTV cameras installed at key locations across the city have been integrated into the command room and these cameras enable round-the-clock monitoring of traffic, congested public spaces, major intersections and other strategic locations in the city. This state-of-the-art system enables proactive crime prevention, rapid identification of offenders, rapid emergency response and effective law and order management.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Suneel Sheoran said that the command room was set up in collaboration with Dhone MLA in compliance with Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu’s orders to curb crime.
He further said that local residents traveling to distant places could inform the police to get CCTV cameras installed in their homes through the Locked House Monitoring System (LHMS). LHMS will alert the dispatcher if unauthorized persons enter the premises of the house. Residents of Dhone sub-division are encouraged to make the most of the facilities.
Meanwhile, the residents of Dhone town expressed their gratitude to the local MLA for his support in setting up a modern dispatch center and Deputy Superintendent of Police Srinivasulu for his selfless efforts.
