Two Maoists, including a girl, who were arrested by the Krishna district police on November 18, have been identified as minors.
During ‘Operation Sambhav’, OCTOPUS and Penamaluru Police arrested 28 Maoists from a private building at New Auto Nagar in Krishna District.
The police produced them in court on November 19 and gave the ages of the two Maoists as 20 and 22 years.
However, the court granted judicial custody to 24 Maoists and sought age proof for the remaining four as they appeared to be minors.
During the ossification test, two Maoists were found to be juveniles and the other two were adults.
“The two arrested Maoists have been found to be minors at the government hospital. We will produce them before the Juvenile Justice Board (JJB),” a police officer investigating the case told The Hindu on Thursday.
