A man booked for allegedly misusing the seal of an NAD official

Police in Edathala on Monday (October 5, 2026) arrested an employee of the Naval Depot (NAD) in Aluva for allegedly forging an appointment order by misusing the official seal of an official of a central government entity.

MV Jijith, a fireman, was arrested for allegedly misusing the official seal of the Chief Draftsman (Armament) and Junior Engineer to prepare a forged document.

The police registered the case based on the initiative of the deputy general director of NAD.

The accused was charged with forgery under Section 336(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
