A KSRTC bus catches fire in Pattambi, Kerala

A KSRTC bus caught fire while traveling through Pattambi in Kerala on Tuesday morning. The incident took place in front of the Pattambi Market around 5 am

The bus was traveling from Perinthalmanna to Kottayam when the driver noticed smoke coming from the engine. He stopped the bus immediately and a fire broke out soon after.

The passengers quickly got off the bus with the help of people from the nearby market. No one was injured in the incident.

Firefighters arrived at the scene and brought the fire under control. The bus was partially damaged in the accident.

The passengers were later taken to their destination by another bus. Traffic in the area was disrupted for more than an hour.

The cause of the fire is probably an electrical short.

KSRTC officials said an investigation is underway to find out the exact cause.
