A grand sports day held under the Praja Palana Pragathi programme

As part of the Praja Palana Pragathi programme, ‘Sports Day’ was grandly celebrated in Telangana on Thursday as part of the ongoing Sports and Youth Festival celebrations. In all 32 district headquarters, various sports activities and competitions were successfully organized under the supervision of district collectors and service machinery headed by the district departments of youth and sports. The state level celebrations were held at LB Stadium, Hyderabad and witnessed enthusiastic participation of youth, sportspersons, parents and general public. The Inter-Stadia competitions were organized at major sports venues in the twin cities including Gachibowli GMCB Stadium, KBR Indoor Stadium, Saroor Nagar Indoor Stadium, Gymkhana Grounds and Cycling Velodrome. Executive Director of Telangana Sports Authority, A. Soni Bala Devi personally supervised the competitions and encouraged the athletes through interaction with the participants across various sports disciplines. Vice Principals Ravi Teja, Sujatha and Srinivas along with Stadium Trustees Ravikumar, Raj Veer, Nandakishore, Kannam Madhu, PRO Kaleru Suresh were present.
