Priests at the Sri Kodanda Rama Swamy Temple in Tirupati carried pearls in a grand procession on an ‘Ambari’ (ornate elephant seat) to commemorate the celestial wedding of Lord Rama and Sita on Saturday (March 28, 2026).
Officials of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) conducted a special pooja for pearls in the treasury department of the TTD administration building. Later, the pearls were taken in a procession and presented to Anand Kumar Dikshit, the head priest of the temple.
Later, the pearls were taken in a procession that reached the temple via Tirthakatta Street, Gandhi Road, Sri Govindaraja Swamy Temple South Mada Street and Bazaar Street.
Deputy Executive Officer of Nagaratna Temple, Temple Inspector Suresh, other officials and a large number of devotees participated in this programme.
