The 22 -year -old man defeated Jannika Sinner in four sets at the Arthur Ash stadium on Sunday to claim his second career in New York, winning his overall Grand Slam at six.Alcaraz’s latest triumph made him the first male player who won several slamming on three different surfaces than he turned 23.When he spoke to TNT Sports, Wilander expressed confidence in Alcaraz’s potential to overcome important milestones in tennis history.“I think he will win much more. The question is that he wins just like Roger Federer, Novak Djokovic and Rafael Nadal. Will he win 20 straws? Is there a great chance to be.”Federer’s success 20 Grand Slams was once considered insurmountable until Rafael Nadal was overwhelmed at the Australian Open 2022. Subsequently, Novak Djokovic set a new record with 24 career owners.
The performance of Alcaraz at the US Open was particularly impressive and dropped only one throughout the tournament and was broken only three times in seven matches.
