The State Authority for the Tamil Nadu Disasters, the Ministry of Income and Disasasters and the Line Department on Thursday, organized together in Cuddalore exercises to check the readiness for solving natural disasters and floods.
The drill took place in the gunda uppalavadi, uppalavadi, Kandakadu and Azhagiananatham.
Exercise is expected to instill the culture of readiness and raise awareness among the inhabitants. They will help civil officials to assess readiness, review the plans of disaster management in the district, standard operating procedures and evaluate the readiness of various agencies for any disaster, the official said.
The exercise provided the opportunity to coordinate the activities of various agencies for their optimum use.
