An infirmary was started at the city railway station under the Ayushman project.
The report says the facility is located on platform number 2 and aims to provide a comfortable and private space for mothers and babies. It will contribute to the comfort and care of passengers at the station, the release added.
The facility was launched in coordination with Ladies Circle India and Mysore Amity Ladies Circle 108 and inaugurated by Mysuru MP Yaduveer Krishnadatta Chamaraja Wadiyar, said a report.
Mudit Mittal, Divisional Railway Director (DRM); Shammas Hameed, Additional DRM; and others were present. Authorities said the infirmary provides a safe, sanitary and comforting environment for mothers to care for their children while waiting for a train.
