The Kishhore Saravanan family heard from him last time he sent them a frantic voice report that they were forcibly sent to the war in Ukraine. 22 -year -old from Playamkottai in the Cuddalore district went to Russia to chase MBBS.
According to his family, he was arrested by the Russian police in 2023 by the Russian police in the alleged drug case.
Kishhore’s father, J. Saravanan, said his son sent on July 12. The Russian government had forcibly applied for the fight against Ukraine.
“I couldn’t contact him on my phone, and his friends informed me that the Russian police had taken him away. Although my son refused to join the Russian army, he was defeated and forced to sign several documents. He also got a Russian identification card and passport,” said Mr. Saravanan Hindu.
Kishhore’s family urged the Union’s government to ensure its safe return.
“Kishhore was reportedly undergoing training for 10 days and is now being transported to the conflict zone. Although we contacted the Indian embassy in Russia and were looking for help, there was no answer,” Saravanan said.
He said Kishhore, the third year MBBS at Volgograd State Medical University, was arrested on May 4, 2023.
“Kishhore worked part -time in an online parcel service company and was arrested with his Indian roommates and two Russians after the drugs were found in the land for delivery. The police tried to force him to confess to the crime but refused.
When he was contacted, the collector of Cuddalore Sibi Adhithya Senthil Kumar said that the state government escalated the problem and the Ministry of Outside was in contact with the Indian Embassy. There has not been any update yet, he said.
President VCK and Chidambarama MP Thol. Thirumavalavan urged the Minister of the External Affairs S. Jaishankar to intervene and secure Kishhore’s safe return.
The main secretary of MDMK and Tyruchi also MP Durai Vaiko also the intervention of the center.
In a letter to Mr. Jaishankar, Mr. Vaiko urged him to take the problem with the Russian government at the highest level.
