
The cricket team of the Indian physical disability closed the dominant campaign in the PD Deepak Lohia Memorial Trophy 2025 with a clean victory of the 5-0 series against Sri Lanka, who showed not only competitive perfection, but also the spirit of inclusiveness and growing position of sports sport in South Asia.
The series was organized together by ABBED Cricket Council of India (DCCI) and Wilspoke Sports and Entertainment and played at Cinery Cricket Ground, Bengaluru, from April 26 to May 5, drawing strong support from players, partners, spectators and advocates to disabilities.
In the final match, which took place in Bengalur, India won throwing and decided to bat and set a mammoth goal of 191 for 5 out of 20 overs. Indian doughs showed remarkable peace and taste, which provided the domestic side of complete control. In response, Sri Lanka was tilted for only 88 at 15.1 overs, sealed the commanding victory.
Narendra Mangore was appointed player in the finals in the final. Ravindra Sante was convicted of a series of series for his consistent contributions during the tournament.
The winning Indian team received a cash price of 2,000,000 RS, while the Sri Lankan team won 50,000 RS, along with the trophies to recognize their commendable participation.
The ceremony was decorated with Mr. Dhruv Prabhakar, Mrs. Isha Prabhakar and Mr. Vikram Singh (Head of Marketing) of the Gopalan Group, along with Mr. Nishanth AJ (founder and CEO – Wilspoke Sports and Entertainment). Their presence in the finals reflected the growing corporate enthusiasm for the support of various athletes and inclusive sports platforms.
