The duo of the wife-arrested the municipal police Kochi for the alleged murder of a man conspired that he had withdrawn the crime, it appeared.
They were arrested on Tuesday (June 24, 2025) for the alleged murder of Ashika, 32 years from Edakochi. Both of them were produced in court and were in custody on Wednesday.
Ashik was found seriously injured behind the wheel of a chilled truck, which is used on Monday evening to transport fish, in an abandoned area in Edakoch. The police said the accused woman threw him into the Ernacula General Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries. Doctors who tended to the victim attributed the death of rich bleeding from a deep wound in the thigh.
“It turned out that the woman was with Ashik in the vehicle. They spoke in an abandoned place as her husband and Ashik stabbed them,” Palluruuthy said. In her statement, the woman claimed that Ashik was looking for her help after meeting with the accident.
The police said Ashik was a family friend of the accused and often visited their house. Later, a woman and Ashik reportedly developed a ratio. Reportedly she left with him and filed a complaint about sexual abuse with Ernakula Central Police after her return. He was arrested and ceded in this case.
