A Class X student of a private school in Kothagudem reportedly committed suicide at his home on Friday, a day before the SSC public exams scheduled to begin on Saturday (March 14, 2026).
Police said the deceased was a resident of Sanjay Nagar in Laxmidevipalli mandal of Bhadradri Kothagudem district.
He is said to have hanged himself in his home on Friday afternoon. His tragic death left his mother broken.
According to sources, the stress of the examination drove him to the extreme step. However, the police have not yet determined the exact cause of the suicide.
A case has been registered and a detailed investigation is underway.
