A two and a half -year -old girl died after suffering burns in a cracker on Thursday during the Temple Festival near Vathalai in Tiruchi.
Hanika, daughter of Poovarasana, suffered burns after she fell and exploded. Her mother carried the girl in the parade to take water from the cauver to the temple from Nadukkarai Padadurai. During the event, the flip flops were burst. While the mother suffered minor injuries, the child suffered heavy burns. Both were transported to the local primary health center and later referred to the government hospital Mahatma Gandhi Memorial, where the child was declared that he brought dead. Police Vathalai registered the case.
