Speakers at a skill development program on ‘Operation and Maintenance of Laboratory Instruments’ organized by the Department of Physics, Sri Venkateswara University, urged faculty members to build a culture of ‘Laboratory Excellence’ and excel in the areas of competence, safety and responsibility.
The week-long faculty programme, conducted in collaboration with the Western Regional Instrumentation Center (WRIC) Mumbai, a national facility of the UGC, began at the SVU Senate here on Monday (December 15, 2025).
Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE) Vice-Chairman S. Vijayabhaskara Rao lauded the universities for having state-of-the-art laboratories with expensive instruments aimed at conducting cutting-edge research.
WRIC Senior Technical Director and Program Coordinator N. Nageswara Rao said the week-long program will expose participating faculty members to sophisticated equipment.
Rector of SVU Ch. Appa Rao, Registrar M. Bhupathi Naidu and Event Coordinator B. Devaprasad Raju were present.
