Police in Mumbai registered the case against unidentified persons in connection with the -mail to a bomb sent to Bombay High Court, the official said on Saturday (September 13, 2025).
The case was registered at the AZAD Maidan Police Station according to Section 353 (1) (anyone issues, issues or circulating any statement, false information, reputation or report, including electronic means) and other relevant provisions of Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhit.
He said the police are trying to trace the IP address and location of the sender.
The High Court administration received on Friday (September 12, 2025) in the afternoon with the threat of the bomb, which led to a suspension of hearing for almost two hours.
However, it turned out that it was a fraud because nothing was found in the premises.
In e -mail the sender mentioned the bomb explosion in the building.
After a thorough search, people were allowed and the court continued its operation.
