Madurai The bench of the Madras High Court ordered Tamil over Tuesday to pay £ 25 as a temporary compensation to the family of the temple security guard B. Ajith Kumar, who died last month in police custody in the Sivagang district.
JUSTICES SM SU SU SU SUBRAMANIAM and Ad Maria Clete has asked the state to pay £ 25 lakh, except ₹ 7.50 Lakh, because the compensation has already handed over to the Ajith Kumar family. The Court said that ₹ 7.50 lakh was insufficient and stressed that higher compensation was paid in similar cases of torture.
The court heard applications for court proceedings on the public interest on death in custody.

The state reported the court that in addition to compensation, their mother was given the government’s work brother and landing Ajith Kumar. He said that the court’s instructions were followed. The case of detention and the case of alleged jewelry theft was transferred to the CBI that started its probe, said.
The CBI team collected documents and materials related to the High Court Register. He also gathered a report of the district judge. The General Police Inspector (South Zone) provided the team’s assistance and further assistance would be provided, the state reported the court.
“No Witness Protection”
The consultant’s advisor has submitted that the protection of witnesses in accordance with the witness protection system has not yet been carried out. The court ordered the main district judge Sivaganga to hear and destroy requests for protection on seven working days.
The CBI is expected to complete the investigation according to the instructions of the Court and to file a final report, said the court and published a matter for hearing on August 20.
