The seventeen -year -old girl was reportedly raped by a gang of nine young people behind a wedding point in a village in the Rajasthan district of Jhalawar, the police said on Wednesday.
The incident occurred on Tuesday when the survivor went to the wedding ceremony of a friend, said Bhupesh Kumar.
Pilk went to the field late at night at the wedding point, when the accused grabbed her, took her to a remote place and raped her gang, CI said.
She told her family about the incident and filed a case against nine accused on Wednesday morning. Based on her complaint, the case was registered according to parts of Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhit and the protection of the Act on Sexual Crimes, CI added.
The police detained all the accused and further examined the matter. Some of the accused were known to the survivors, he said.
