More than 600 retirement of Israeli security officials, including former news agencies, allegedly urged Donald Trump to push his own government, led by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to end the Gaza war.
“It is our professional judgment that Hamas is no longer a strategic threat to Israel,” former officials wrote an open letter shared with the media on Monday, according to AFP.
