On Sunday, Police of Soadvanahalli arrested the owner of paying guests for alleged rape of a 20 -year -old.
The accused was identified as Ashraf, 37, a native of Kerala. He operated PG accommodation for women in Soadvanahali.
Reportedly he made friends with the victim, who moved to accommodation 10 days ago. In his complaint, the victim, which is a Kerala student, said Ashraf had taken her to his car to an isolated place in the northern edge of the city on Friday midnight and raped her. He threatened to reveal to anyone and brought her back to PG.
Based on the complaint, the police registered the case. The accused was arrested and transferred in the judiciary. The police said the victim had passed the medical test and its statement was recorded for further investigation.
