
The district police in Annamayya launched a monthly special “Trace” initiative that followed and met missing girls with their families, police supervisors V. Vidyasagar Naida here on Sunday (August 3, 2025).
SP said the initiative, which began on August 1, will continue until 31. “A strategic action plan involving data collection, shelter inspection, firms and advanced technologies, such as facial recognition, DNA tests, and Aadhaar’s age verification,” he said.
“We have created special teams of the solar resolution working group that work in coordination with teams of neighboring districts. From August 11, we will drive on railway stations, bus stalls, religious places and areas of red light,” Naida said, calling on the public to help the police in their campaign.
SP asked the public to report missing children via Shakti application, help number 1098, 181, Dial 112 or WhatsApp 7993485111.
Meanwhile, in another step to reduce the rate of crime in the district, the police took 150 people with single orders against them.
