Delhi tragedy: A 55-year-old man died and two others were injured after a boundary wall collapsed during work on a sewage pipeline in Delhi’s Lodhi Colony area on Friday (June 5), a Delhi Fire Service official said. According to DFS, three workers were trapped under debris after a boundary wall collapsed while working on a sewer pipe.

The incident was reported at 1:18 am, following which Delhi Fire Services (DFS) personnel rushed to the spot.

“Before the rescue units arrived, residents managed to pull two injured people out of the rubble, the third worker was rescued by DFS workers,” he said.

The deceased was identified as Devender, while the injured were identified as Rajesh (48) and Umar (20), the officer said.

All the three were rushed to AIIMS trauma center where Devender was declared brought dead.
