A twenty -year -old man, who feared he drowned from the Juh area in Mumbai, was found dead about 14 hours later, when his body washed to the shore, officials said on Saturday (August 2, 2025).
The deceased was identified as Vighnesh Murgesh Devendram, they said.
The man embarked on the Arab Sea to Silver Beach near Godrej Gate in the western suburb of Juh around 8:30 on Friday (August 1, 2025). Then he was uncombible and feared drowning, said a civic clerk.
Officials stated that Devendran and another person, identified as Rajkumar Subba (22), began to drown about 200 meters from the beach of Juh. While the Subba was saved by a lifeguard, the firefighter was performed by a search operation for Devendran, but the operation was stopped at 13:45 as a result of the tide.
However, local fishermen and the police team in Mumbai found that on Friday (August 1, 2025) lies still on the beach. From there he was hurried to the nearby civil hospital, where doctors declared him dead, he added.
The Arab Sea remains mostly jerky during the monsoon, and officials routinely ask people not to get out for swimming, fishing, etc.
