
FIFA launched its first talent academy for girls in India, partnership with the All India (AIFF) football federation on Saturday in Hyderabad to provide elite training to talented footballers from all over the country.The Academy, located in the Gachibowli stadium, will offer comprehensive year -round training with residential devices to 60 elite players – 30 boys (U14) and 30 girls (U16), along with 10 players from Telangana in each category.The facility will provide selected players with high -performance training, education, medical care, nutrition and mental wellness.President AIFF Kalyan Chaubey said: “The opening of the first Indian talent Academy FIFA for girls and the second academy for boys means defining a moment on our way to fair football.Chaubey also said: “This academy will not only be the groom of elite athletes, but also inspires a generation of footballers who can dream of representing India at the highest level. It’s a proud day for Indian football and a strong step forward to our goal to qualify for the World Cups of Men and Women U17.” ”AIFF will manage operations, technical framework, talent searching and educational curriculum in coordination with FIFA, while the TELANGANY sports office will deal with infrastructure, logistics, education and support for players.This initiative is in line with the AIFF “Vision 2047” plan to establish India as a leading football nation.The Chief Minister of Telangany Revanth Reddy said: “This academy is a game converter for girls in football. It is not only the first of its kind in India, but also one of the few globally under FIFA as part of the talents.The establishment of this Academy strengthens India’s commitment to inclusive and structured development of football in the country.
