
The Student Police Cadet project (SPC) is one of the most remarkable models introduced to the world, the Minister of Higher Education and Social Justice, R. Binda, was introduced, while the SPC celebrations and the opening of the new SPC units in schools below the Thrissur district.
Police chief Thrissur rural districts B. Krishnakumar lifted the SPC flag to Sreseekrishna HSS on Saturday in Sreekrishna HSS.
Civil commitment
The minister, who dealt with the function, appreciated the project for instilling a strong sense of social responsibility and humanitarian values for students. “The SPC initiative is not just about discipline; it is training for compassionate management and a civic commitment,” she said. Dr. Bindu also received a greeting during the festive show performed as part of the celebration.
“By being part of this disciplined system, students learn responsibility and teamwork and are trained to stand firmly against social injustice and evil. This is what the student’s police cadet project is initiative for our state,” she added.
42 schools
The district currently has SPC units in 42 schools, including a model residential school. For the academic year 2025, SPC units were newly introduced at three other government schools:
TS Sinoj, Thrissur District Nodal Officer and other police superintendant, led SPC Parade together with President Muriyad Gram Panchayat Jose J. Chittilappilly and various police officers.
