Six and a half years after the police inspector and youth were killed in violence, which broke out over the alleged cow defeat in the village in the district of Bulandshahr in Uttar Pradesh, the local court (August 1, 2025) on Friday (August 1, 2025) sentenced five accused.
Special Government Advisor Yashpal Singh Raghav said those who were convicted of murder, and given the imprisonment of life, Prashant, Rahul, David, Losendra Singh and Johnny were prashant.
Among the 33, who received seven years in prison are local leader Bajranga Dal Yogesh Raj and former Rashtriya Rifles Jawan Jeetendra Malik, who were previously named by the police as key conspirators and reserved for murder.
On December 3, 2018, a group of villagers in Siyana claimed that she found the carcasses of the cow in the field. They suggested the defeat of the cow and placed the carcasses on the tractor and blocked the highway in front of the Chingravati police base in Siyana. Inspector Subodh, published on this police station, reached the seat and tried to calm the crowd, but began throwing stones at the police and igniting the local police base. Some people also fired at the police. Subodh and 20 -year -old locals Sumit Kumar were injured and died during shooting.
The police booked 44 people for violence, including students, farmers and right -wing members of the group. Five of them died during the process.
“33 people received seven years of imprisonment for attempting to murder and the rebellion of the law on amendment,” said Mr. Raghav.
