The statement of “dismay” and “deep disappointment” over the verdict in the case of explosions in Malegaon in 2008, where all seven accused were on Thursday (31 July 2025) on Friday (August 1, 2025 on Friday (August 1, 2025 on Friday (August 1, 2025).
The policy office pointed out that the verdict came the day after the Interior Minister Amit Shah in parliament said no Hindu could be a terrorist.
Six people were killed and nearly a hundred was injured in the explosion. The defendant included former BJP MP Pragy Singh Thakur and col. Prasad Purohit, then serving an army officer. The CPI statement (m) stated that the National Investigation Agency (NIA) stated that conspirators had organized crime to terrorize part of the Muslims and focus on the creation of municipal tension. “This is another case of disproportionate delay and possible rejection of justice by the victims of the terrorist law of the Hindutva extremist group,” the political office noted. The accused, claimed CPI (M), were patronized and supported by RSS-BJP all the time.
“Given the serious nature of the crime, the CPI (m) requires the Government to refer to the NIA court decision,” the policy office said.
