
The man of Bengalur was reportedly harassed by police officers in now a virava Reddit post and claimed that he and his friend were forced to say, “We are gay.” The man claimed that the incident occurred on the night of July 30th in North Bengalur. Redditor, who goes through the user name “Prudent-LetHead40”, shared suffering in a detailed post and said that experience left him “disgusted and disturbed”.
“The harassed, attacked, and blackmail the cops at night – we were forced to say that we were gay to be released (North Bangalore),” read the title of the paper under the “Law and Order”.
The man shared that he and his friend got out that night at 2 in the morning because he was unable to sleep and felt “restless”. They found a quiet place to talk. Within two minutes, two police officers approached them and began to question them with suspicion.

“They asked us what we were doing, searched us, checked our phones and pockets. No drugs, no alcohol, nothing suspicious – but refused to believe we were just air,” the man said.
He added that the cops began to blame them for being a homosexual couple, and indicated that it was why they were so late at night. “When we denied it, they started to beat us with a baton and said that if we” confess “to be gays, they would let us. Otherwise they would take us to the station and call our parents,” the man added.
The man said they admitted that the gays were only for fear and in an effort to dispose of the situation. The post also states: “For fear, we said,” Okay, we are gay “just to get out of the situation.”

Asking £50,000 bribe
Although it seemed to “satisfy the ego of the cops”, suffering was not far from it. According to the redditor, the officers originally demanded £5,000 as a “fine” in a remote place before taking them to a police station where more officers were involved – a total of eight, according to a man.
