Job scam: Police seek notice for organizers of Destiny Consultancy

The Ibrahimpatnam police have written to the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) seeking to issue a notice against the promoters of Destiny Consultancy, who allegedly duped job seekers by promising job opportunities abroad.

According to the police, the couple, natives of Guntur, currently settled in the UK, started a private consultancy firm ‘Destiny Consultancy’ in Guntur and ran branches in Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and other states.

The accused allegedly collected huge sums of money from job seekers by promising them jobs in the UK but not offering them jobs. Acting on the complaint, the Ibrahimpatnam police in NTR district registered a case and launched a search for the accused.

West Zone Deputy Commissioner of Police (ACP) NSVK Durga Rao said on Thursday that the Ibrahimpatnam police had initiated a process to obtain a lookout notice against the accused in the alleged fraud case.
