Galatasaray completed the sensational signing of Victor Osimhen of Napoli and interrupted the record of Turkish broadcast in this process. The Super League masters announced the arrival of Nigeria International for a long -term agreement after they agreed to pay 75 million (63.8 million), the most expensive incoming transfer in Turkish football history.
The previous record was set only last year, when Fenerbahce signed Youssef En-Byyri of Sevilly for 20 million. Gatasaray’s move is the main statement of the project because it seeks to consolidate its dominance in domestic and Europe.
“A four-year contract has been signed with the player, which starts from the 2025-26 season,” the club said in a statement. The agreement also includes a 10 % arrangement for sale in favor of Napoli, which means that the Italian side will receive a part of any future transfer fee.
Osimhen, 26, earns a net guaranteed salary of 15 million per season. It also receives 1 million net loyalty bonuses, along with 5 million per year in payment rights – compensating to use its name, image and form in club marketing and promotions.
Napoli confirmed the details of the agreement in a separate statement.
Osimhen spent the 2024-25 season for a Galatasaray loan, where he enjoyed a fruitful campaign and ended up as the best scorer of the league with 26 goals. He also became the highest foreign player in one season in Turkish football history and counted in all competitions 37 times.
Former striker Lille and Wolfsburg joined Galatasaray at the top of his forces and have already significantly influenced the European scene. With 26 goals in 40 performances for Nigeria, they will arrive in Istanbul as one of the most feared continent.
Galatasaray’s record turn signals a new era of ambitions for the club – as Osimhen, which leads the line, fans will dream of domination and deep run in Europe.
