The Prime Minister Narendra Modi will start a three -day scientific conference organized by the Swaminathan Research Foundation (MSSRF) on August 2025 to mark the centenary of Mrs. Swaminathan’s birth. The event will be held in the Indian Agricultural Research Council in Nový Delhi.
On the media briefing here on Thursday, Tymya Swaminathan, chairman of the MSSRF, said the Prime Minister would publish a reprint in search of BioHappiness, a book written by the late Mrs. Swaminathan in 2011.
In addition to the book, it will present a special commemorative volume published by Hindu, representing articles written by colleagues and MSS family, in addition to the stamp and commemorative coins 100.
“Sustainable use of biodiversity”
“The BioHappiness concept, a term created by Professor Swaminathan, focuses on how sustainable use of biodiversity can improve food safety, revenue and quality of life while restoring lost biodiversity. This concept and its vision will be discussed at the upcoming conference. Dr. Soumya.
She added that the aim is to integrate traditional agricultural knowledge into modern science, a belief long -fought by Professor Swaminathan, who claimed that technology and ecological wisdom should go hand in hand.
The conference will also be presented by Mrs. Swaminathan for Food and Peace, global recognition for scientists who contribute to these fields. The first award supported by the MSSRF and the World Academy of Sciences will be presented by Prime Minister on August 7 and is worth $ 25,000. The private sector will also be available.
MSSRF and Social Alpha are also launched by Agritech Grand Challenge, which will provide Grant Crore 1 GBP to support the ideas in the early phase, pilot projects and successful innovations to be scalaned. The program will help young entrepreneurs to develop their ideas with leadership and opportunities to test in the real world settings, Dr. Soumya.
