
Max Verstappen on Thursday, July 31, confirmed that he would stay with Red Bull Racing for the 2026 Formula 1 season and end extensive speculation about a possible move to Mercedes. The future of the Dutch driver was the subject of a constant debate, and many believed that he could leave a new chapter with another team. Verstappen, however, explained that he did not intend to compete elsewhere.
Talking before the Hungarian Grand Prix, Verstappen dealt with rumors The front and said that its focus remains only on its performance with Red Bull, both this season and others. The ruling world champion stressed that despite the noise, his commitment to the team has never eager.

The 2026 season is expected to bring fundamental changes to the sport, especially by introducing a new engine formula. Mercedes is expected to be among the teams that will have the most of the regulatory changes, while Red Bull is in the process of developing its own energy unit after the partnership with Honda.
