The 44-year-old tennis legend will play doubles at the Queen’s Club in London next week, partnering Canadian teenager Victoria Mboko, who is 19, 25 years younger than Williams.Mboko shared the news on Instagram after training with Williams on the grass courts in West London. She posted a photo of the two together and wrote, “The Queen is back.”Mboko said she was excited to play alongside one of the sport’s greatest players. In her post, she wrote: “It’s an honor to share the court this week with one of the greatest athletes of all time.” She also added, “Even more excited to be playing doubles together! Tennis is pretty special.”The young Canadian has long admired Williams. At the French Open last week, Mboko said: “I really look up to her. I mean, the fact that she knows me is very exciting.”Williams, who won 23 Grand Slam singles titles in her career, will retire from professional tennis in 2022. Her appearance at Queen’s Club marks a much-anticipated comeback, although she has yet to confirm whether she plans to compete at Wimbledon or the 2026 US Open.For now, fans will get their first look at Williams in action as she teams up with one of London’s rising young tennis stars.
