A forty -year -old man escaped the unharmed car he traveled, set fire to fire near the town of Ambur in Tirupatura.
The police said that as part of their business work, B. Vishwanathan, a native of Chinnavarikam near the town of Ambur, traveled on the section as he noticed the smoke from the hood after he lit.
Immediately Vishwanathan got out of the car. Before the firefighters from Ambur arrived the fire, the car was completely gutted. He was sent to the Taluk Government Hospital in the city for medical control.
The police removed the burnt vehicle from the road to restore traffic movement on the section. The case was registered by the Municipal Police Ambur. The probe is running.
