Strong rains in Rajasthan have led to a flood situation and rivers are in many districts in many districts that had to be opened gates of various dams, the Ministry said on Tuesday (July 29, 2025).
The villages in low -laid areas downstream from swollen rivers were immersed. The rivers in several districts, including Kota, Bundi, Jhalawar, Dholpur and Tonk, overflow after a heavy downpour.
The State Meteorological Department issued a warning of rain in 29 districts. In the middle of the warning of heavy rains, schools were closed on Tuesday in 14 districts.
The Baran-Jhalawar motorway is also closed due to the overflowing Parwan River. Many villages near Bhawani Mandi in the Jhalawar district were immersed due to floods of the Rewa River.
The collector Jhalawar and SP said they must go to the affected areas on the tractor.
In Bundi, Udaipur and Dausa, schools, houses and roads were damaged in the incidents related to rain.
On Monday evening, two rooms of the government of the High Secondary School in Peepla Gram Panchayat, Kotda, Udaipur collapsed.
On Tuesday at 8:30 in the morning, light to heavy rainfall accompanied by storms in the last 24 hours in many places in Eastern Rajasthan. In some places in northern Rajasthan, very light rainfall was noted. The highest precipitation in the state was recorded on the ATRA (Baran) at 109 mm.
The highest maximum temperature was recorded on Sriganganagar at 40.3 ° C. The lowest minimum temperature was recorded in the Siroh at 20.5 ° C.
The average humidity in the air was recorded in most parts of the state between 70-100%.
