The ratio of physical education teachers in schools in the state will be again 1: 300 to protect teachers who have lost their contributions.
Recently, the meeting called the Minister for General Education V. Sivankutty. It will be sent for approval of the main minister.
The ratio of physical education of students of students is currently 1: 500.
The meeting took place to discuss the number of requirements raised by school physical education teachers. If the ratio of 1: 300 is considered a higher primary class, physical education teachers who lose their contributions will be protected by the club’s lower primary wing club as well.
For the protection of physical education teachers in high school, the number of physical education periods in class X will be considered. Currently, one contribution of physical education teacher is created, if there are five divisions across classes VIII and IX. Class X division is currently not considered to be appointed. Therefore, if the division in classes VIII and IX decreases, it will be considered as the number of periods in class x to protect teachers.
At the secondary schools with the UP section, physical education teachers can be clubed with the UP wing to protect them.
Physical education teachers say that the order that protects them was issued as a temporary arrangement in 2017, when they organized protests to promote their requirements. Since then, they have also been issued, but their requirements, such as a change in the ratio of teachers and students through a change in the rules for Keral education, have not been solved.
Physical education teachers demanded that all students in state schools take training on physical education. Currently lower basic classes have no periods of physical education. Higher secondary classes have a period of physical education but no teachers. There are only 1,800 odd teachers of physical education in the state. Physical education teachers estimate that 85% of UP schools and 45% of secondary schools have no physical education teachers.
They point out that 11 teachers lost their contributions last year, while this year was more.
