Kuki’s human rights organization (Kohur) asked Governor Ajay Kumara Bhall and the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC), which dominated the transfer of 64 Myanmar nationals from Imphal’s central prison in Kuki, in the State dominated by Imphal.
In the separate memorands addressed to Mr. Bhall and the chairman of NHRC, the judiciary V. Ramasubramananian, 25 July, the organization for the rights of serious constitutional and humanitarian concerns about the ongoing retention of Myanmar nationals. He emphasized the case of two of them who remained in prison, even though they completed their punishments.
Kohur said that the detention of Myanmar nationals was a “violation of the grave” of Article 21 of India, which guarantees the right to life and personal freedom, and violations of international conventions on human rights, India is a signatory.
The organization mentioned earlier governorate announcements, which allowed the transfer of Indian prisoners Kuki under the court from Imphal and other sensitive zones to a temporary prison in the districts controlled by Kuki, such as Burachandpur, Kangpokpi and Tengnipal.
The statement of Kohur, signed by its chairman HS Benjamin Mate, pointed out that the detainment of myanmar sharing shares deep cultural, language and family ties with the indigenous Kukis of manipure. He stated that the rejection of these detainees on the basis of nationality “represents discriminatory treatment” and continued detainment of individuals over their punishment was “a clear example of arbitrary imprisonment and abortion of justice”.

Meanwhile, Delhi and NCR have raised objections to the Public Service of the Public Service (MPSC) for KUKI students to carry out an upcoming network examination in Assam Guwahati.
In a letter to the Governor manipur, a student of students stated that the decision was unfair and burden, especially for the Kuki community, who were displaced or affected by lengthy violence in the state. He emphasized the disproportionate impact that such logistics decisions on communities affected by conflicts have.
“If this application is not observed, Kuki students in Delhi and India can perceive it as an act of suppressing educational opportunities of a specific community,” the organization said.
