Samyukt Kisan Morcha (SKM), a platform of several agricultural organizations, on Sunday (July 27, 2025) claimed that it presented national cooperation policy (NCP) on Friday, which disrupts the India Institute on Friday, centralizes power and persecuted the rights of the state government.
In a statement issued on SKM, SKM stated that policy lacks perspective to protect the rights of farmers and workers for a living, minimal support, minimum wages and sharing of surplus.
SKM claimed that the new policy is aimed at seizing people’s resources, and the creation of a cooperative serves to the interests of the company and urged political parties and state governments to fight the attack on cooperative federalism to protect the Indian Union. “According to the Indian Constitution. “The corporate sector will dictate prices”
SKM said that as soon as the domination of agriculture over agriculture and rural resources has been completed, the company sector will dictate the market and prices and let the exploitation of whole working people throughout the country will be released.
“If the BJP and RSS leadership is sincere for the development of farmers, workers and marginalized troops, it should insist that the Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior rather authorize the government of the State based on the perspective of federalism and provide 50% of the Union’s government and modernize cooperation throughout India. And the minimum supportive price to farmers, ”SKM added.
NCP 2025, if carried out, will violate state governments’ rights and facilitate the takeover of agriculture, horticulture, dairy and fishing sectors. SKM demands all political parties and state governments to oppose the NCP 2025 and fight against attack on cooperative federalism to protect the Indian Union and the interests of whole working people.
