
In the tragic incident, more than 60 students from the State Residential School in the Telangana district in Telangana complained of vomiting, diarrhea and stomach pain after dinner, PTI reported.
The report added that after the complaints all students were immediately hospitalized and 50 were released, the officials said.
The official, as PTI quoted, provided more details that after consuming dinner on Saturday evening 64 students fell ill at a residential school in Uyalawada.
The health officer added that the girls were hospitalized with symptoms of vomiting, diarrhea and stomach pain.
According to the preliminary report, there was no curd when students consumed it, fully fermented, and healthcare professionals suspect that this may be the reason for students.
Meanwhile, the investigation has started to find out the reason for this incident, and food and drinking samples for testing are sent, the officials stated and added that the necessary measures would be initially initiated.
