Former Indian captain Sourav gangules feel that India and Pakistan should continue their cricket relationships because both teams are ready for a clash in Asia Cup 2025. Gangules said that terrorism should not happen, but sport must continue. India and Pakistan are ready to lock the corners in Asia Cup 2025 because the Asian cricket council (ACC) introduced a plan for a continental tournament.
India and Pakistan were placed in the same group along with UAE and Oman. They plan each other for 14th September and probably meet again on 21st. September if they qualify together to the Super Four Stage. The cards could be another clash of India vs Pakistan if both teams get to the finals.
After revealing the ASIA CUP schedule, there was extensive criticism of the BCCI (Criket Council in India) for consent to playing with Pakistan after the terrorist attack of Pahalgam. However, the gangules feel that sport must continue, but also condemned a terrorist attack.
“I am fine. The sport must continue. At the same time, the Pahalgam should not happen, but the sport must continue. Terrorism must not happen; India must have a strong attitude towards terrorism, but that is the past … Sport needs to be played,” the ganguly said.
