As the military clashes between Thailand and Cambodia continued, India said on Saturday (July 26, 2025) that it carefully monitors the developing situation and hopes to end hostility.
At least 32 people were killed and nearly 1.50,000 in border clashes between two southeastern -east, which broke out on Thursday (July 24, 2025).
In its response to the conflict, the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) recommended Indian passengers in the region to contact the relevant embassies in two countries for any help.

“We carefully follow the situation along the border between Cambodia and Thailand,” said Mea spokesman Randhir Jaiswal.
“India has close and friendly relations with both countries and hopes that both parties will take measures to stop hostility and prevent further escalation,” he said.
Indian embassies in Thailand and Cambodia have already issued separate advice for Indian travelers.
The Indian mission in the Thai capital urged all Indian travelers to check the authorities’ updates in the country before visiting tourist attractions in problem areas.
He urged the Indians to avoid traveling to seven provinces, as proposed by the Thai tourism office.
Thailand is a popular destination for Indian tourists. In 2024, approximately 2.1 million Indian tourists visited the country.
The Indian Embassy in Phnom Penh also recommended Indian citizens in Cambodia to avoid traveling to border areas.
“With regard to the ongoing clashes on the border of Cambodia and Thailand, Indian nationals are advised to avoid traveling to border areas,” he said in a post on social media.
