
Govindachamy, convicted in the case of rape and murder of 2011, which escaped from the central prison of Kannur and was arrested on Friday, during the interrogation, claiming that Ganja, alcohol and mobile phones were readily available in the prison walls.
The sources revealed that Govindachamy admitted that on the eve of his escape, Beedi had smoked with Ganja-Chválená, allowing him to scaling the prison walls. He argued that narcotics and liqueur were widely distributed in prison and that a well -organized gang was working inside to supply these objects.
Govindachamy reportedly received Ganja Beedi by replacing Skop Curry. He said the gang sold inside the Beedi in 200 GBP and the liqueur from Mahe for 2,000 ₹.
Escape route
Govindachamy describes his escape route and said he broke the bars of the prison cell and using the 300-liter water reservoirs to scal the first border wall. Instead of moving towards the outer perimeter, however, he accidentally landed in a quarantine block that had the highest wall, and his escape was delayed. Although he had liberated from his cell to 1.15, he could escape from prison only at 4.30
He revealed that he had also tried to escape from prison, but after fighting the prisoner changed the plan. He started to escape after being converted to block 10. He said he got a hacker blade three years ago, and it took him 10 months to reduce the prison bars with the instrument.
He told the investigators that his initial plan was to travel to Guruvayur and then head to Tamil Nada at night and added that he did not get any help when escaping from prison.
