
K. Ravi Kumar, Deputy Commissioner Circle-11 in the village of Rajendranagar
Deputy Commissioner Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC), published in Rajendranagar, was arrested on Friday, July 25, for alleged acceptance of a bribe £ 2 Lakh from the hotel owner on Friday, July 25.
According to ACB, accused officer K. Ravi Kumar, who currently works as a representative of the Commissioner Circle-11 in the Rajendranaagar community, he demanded from the complainant 5 MAKH in exchange for not coming against the hotel. The bribe was required to overlook the irregularities found in the hotel kitchen during the inspection and prevent damage to reputations or possible seizure of the equipment.
ACB said the officer received from the complainant 2 Lakh, which was obtained from him during the operation. After his arrest he was sent into his court custody. The case is currently under investigation.
The authorities urged the public to report any cases of bribery or corruption by civil servants by calling for free number 1064 ACB. Complaints can also be made through the official WhatsApp, Facebook or X through official ACB Telangana channels. The complainants’ identity will be maintained confidential.
