The Sensation Teen Squash Anahat Singh checked out with the bronze medal from the Squash World Championship after going down to Egyptian Nadien Elhammama in the semifinals of female singles in Cairo on Friday 25th.
The second deployed Indian fought hard, but eventually lost 6-11, 12-14, 10-12 to the Egyptian, who had strong support from the domestic crowd.
Anahat led the second and third games, but could not build on the benefit.
With the semi -final, 17 -year -old became the first Indian girl to reach the last four phases of the Pallikal tournament in 2010.
If she won, he would only become the second Indian who reached the final in the female individual category after the historical run of Joshn Chinappa in 2005.
